A native of Portsmouth, VA, Laura married Joe Hoggard on May 12, 1989. In 1994 she graduated from Southeastern University (Lakeland, FL) with a Bachelor of Arts in Sacred Music and a minor in Bible. Laura and Joe have three children, two daughters and a son. They reside in Oak Hill, WV, where Joe serves as lead pastor of LifeBridge Assembly of God and she serves as minister of music and leads a weekly Bible study for women.
Laura is an ordained minister and has served as a pastor's wife and minister of music for over 19 years. She has directed the Women's Ministries programs at various times during their pastorates. She has also served as a section Women's Ministries representative for several years, and most recently served as the District Training Coordinator for the four years prior to her election as District Director at the 2010 District Council.
Laura has a passion to see all women of all generations connecting and mentoring one another in Christ just as Paul instructed in Titus 2:3-5. She says, "There is an excitement in the air, as God is bringing us all together for one purpose: to see the name of Jesus Christ glorified that all may come to know Him."
