     Marvin Dennis, an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God, serves as the Superintendent of the Appalachian District Council, which covers the western portions of Virginia and West Virginia. He has served in this position since 1997. He also serves on the Board of Regents at Southeastern University (Lakeland, FL).

     He has pastored nine churches, in Arkansas, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia and Texas, his home state. He also served as an evangelist. Other positions he has held include Assistant Superintendent, General Presbyter, U. S. Missions Board member, and several section leadership positions in the Appalachian District before becoming Superintendent. He has served on numerous boards and General Council committees.

     Reverend Dennis is widely experienced in ministry and brings a wealth of knowledge to the pulpit. He attended Southwestern University and Berean University.

     Reverend Dennis also serves as president of the Association of Assemblies of God District Schools of Ministry. He led the effort for recognition of the association by the General Council of the Assemblies of God. The first District School of Ministry was launched in the Appalachian District in 1996.

     He is married to June, also an ordained minister, and has two sons and one granddaughter. The Dennis' reside in Cool Ridge, West Virginia.
